Insurance as a financial institution non-bank is one of the effective factor on economic growth. Regarding the relationship between economic growth and the development of insurance, for first time at the Conference of the ANECTAD in 1964 was expressed that the effects of economic growth can be affecting on insurance. The first contract of insurance that have created a foundation of transport to the year 1347 in Italy has been concluded, therefore, that began its modern significant insurance activities into the fourteenth century. In this regard Askipr (1998) stated that the functional point of view of the insurance can have an effect on economic growth that this performance in various fields. In most countries of the world in order to make insurance companies to cover their costs, enough to earn more income and profitability, growth and development of insurance activities in order to attract more customers as a financial entity active in the capital market participation so that in some developed countries the role of the insurance industry in the capital market and the mobilization of resources from the market even after the launch of the stock exchange and the banking system are far greater. Review and compare the insurance role in Iran's economy, we will notice that the insurance in Iran is not located in actual position. In this research has been considered the various aspects of the insurance industry in the economy of Iran.
