چکیده This narrative review examines how organizational gravity—the collective forces within an organization that influence employee commitment and retention—affects generational commitment in healthcare settings and its impact on workforce attrition or retention. Synthesizing four peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025 from ScienceDirect, the review explores generational differences in job satisfaction, organizational commitment, personality traits, and perceptions of healthcare work. Findings suggest that while job satisfaction and organizational commitment may not differ significantly across generations, variations in personality traits and work values necessitate tailored retention strategies. For instance, Generation Z values flexibility and psychological safety, while Baby Boomers prioritize recognition. The review highlights the importance of understanding these differences to address high attrition rates, particularly in nursing, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Recommendations include leadership training, flexible work policies, and technological integration to foster a committed multigenerational workforce, ultimately enhancing organizational stability and patient care quality.
