چکیده Z-source inverters are a promising solution for DC-AC power conversion. However, conventional Z-source inverter topologies often suffer from limitations such as high input current ripple and challenges in achieving high boost factors efficiently at low duty cycles. This paper introduces an enhanced Switched Impedance Inverter (enhanced SII), a novel Z-source inverter topology designed to address these limitations and offer improved performance. The proposed inverter achieves significantly higher boost factors (B) at low duty cycles. Specifically, the analysis demonstrates that the proposed topology can improve the boost factor index by a factor of 5 compared to the conventional switched boost inverter when the duty cycle is 0.2, thereby enhancing the overall voltage gain capability. Furthermore, the enhanced SII exhibits high reliability compared to conventional structures, as evidenced by the reliability analysis using Markov modeling. In addition to these advantages, this paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the proposed topology, including power loss, small-signal, and stability analyses. A comparative study evaluates the enhanced SII against conventional Z-source inverters, considering key parameters such as boost factor, component voltage and current ratings, and reliability. The functionality and performance of the enhanced SII under different control methods and operating conditions are validated through simulation and experimental results.
