چکیده
|
The governing relationships of fexural moment–curvature-axial force (m −Φ− p) are useful not only in the linear elastic analysis of structural systems but also in the non-linear analysis of them even in the presence of large deformations. This research presents closed-form relationships of fexural moment–curvature-axial force for I-shaped steel sections including two axes of symmetry by the force balance method in both elastic and inelastic cases. The proposed formulations also could be used in rectangular sections. Because when the web thickness of I-shaped sections is equal to the width of the fange, the I-shaped section turns into a rectangular one. In this study, it is assumed that the behavior of the material is perfectly Elastoplastic and the maximum strain is limited to the strain at the end of the plastic step of the material. The proposed method is verifed using previous benchmark studies, and the results indicate that the proposed method has sufcient accuracy and could be applied adequately for use in engineering practice for all types of I-shaped and rectangular sections
