چکیده Mesoporous compounds are the most popular materials, due to their structural characteristics, such as high surface areas and pore volumes and have found variety applications, such as adsorbents, catalyst supports, drug delivery systems and biosensors [1]. Among theme, hexagonal mesoporous silica (HMS) with wormlike mesoporosity, uniform and narrow pore size distribution, high surface area and pore volume, short channel, thermal stability, easily synthesis and functionalization has found promising applications as a support for synthesis of heterogeneous catalysts [2]. Pyranopyrazole and benzopyran derivatives, have become important due to their pharmacological and biological properties such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-bacterial, in perfumes and cosmetics and in food as additives [3,4]. The present study describes the synthesis, characterization, and investigation of catalytic activity of xanthine-Ni complex incorporated into functionalized HMS (HMS/Pr-Xa-Ni) in synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyran and 1,4-dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole derivatives.
