چکیده Background and objectives: Ticks are haematophagous arthropods belonging to the class Arachnids. Once they attach to a host for a blood meal, they could cause skin irritation and anemia. Ticks are also one of the major vectors of pathogens, such as Babesia, Theileria, and Anaplasma spp., to animals in the world. Methodology: All articles about tickes in Iran searched on various sites(pubmed,google scholar,sciencedirect, scopus, magiran) for 10 years. Results: Our result showed that there are 30 articles about distributions of ticks in different geographical area in Iran for 10 years ago.The most Hard and soft ticks in Iran including: Boophilus Annulatus, Dermacentor marginatus,Dermacentor niveus,Haemaphysalis erinacei, Haemaphysalis choldokovsky, Haemaphysalis inermi, Haemaphysalis sulcata, Haemaphysalis numidiana, Haemaphysalis punctate, Hyalomma concinna,Hyalomma Anatolicum,Hyalomma asiaticum, Hyalomma asiaticum asiaticum, Hyalomma marginatum, Hyalomma marginatum marginatum, Hyalomma aegyptium, Hyalomma detritum, Hyalomma anatolicum anatolicum, Hyalomma anatolicum excavatum, Hyalomma scupense, Hyalomma schulzei, Hyalomma detritum, Hyalomma dromedarii, Hyalomma lusitanicum, Rhipicephalus bursa, Rhipicephalus turanicus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus Ornithodorus lahorensis and Argas persicus, respectively. Discussion and Conclusion: This review study Show that prevalence and distribution of tikes are different and comparable in different region of Iran. Also, because of changing in climate and ecosystem , it is nessesory for surveing more on distribution ticks in other region of Iran.
