the urban scape is considered as a new theoretical base in a comprehensive view of the city. Furthermore, historical cities that Urban scape, in addition to making it possible to" read " the text of the city, provides the possibility of performing urban pathology.have historic values, need more consideration with this regard. The purpose of this article is to evaluate and pathology of Urban scape of Tehran in macro-scale. In order to achieve this goal, this paper evaluates the components of the urban scape (aesthetics, identity, functionality and environment on a large scale). The research method in this article is evaluation, and to develop strategies for measuring the SWOT technique based on Expert opinions have been used to prioritize them. The study and analysis of the current situation in Tehran shows that Tehran has strengths and powerful characteristics in natural and artificial fields. But the design of Tehran has been very little in harmony with natural elements, while Tehran has a lot of natural potential due to the hills and rivers. The scape of Tehran is not in a good condition at the moment and the heterogeneous architecture of the buildings and their improper performance have had a negative impact on the urban scape, which is due to the lack of a general policy on the scape of Tehran. The results show that organizing the control of the visual order of the city by creating visual management is a priority.
