Thedatapresentedinthispaperoffertheinformationneededforassessingthewaterfootprintofsteelproduction.Thedataprovidedherearerelatedtotheresearchpaper,“AnImprovedWaterFootprintModelofSteelProductionCon-cerningVirtualWaterofPersonnel:TheCaseofIran” [1].Thedatawerecollectedformanalysingacasestudyandreview-ingtherelevantliterature.ThecasestudydatawerecollectedfromalargesteelplantinIran.Allinformationreceivedfromthisplantisrelatedto2017.Theprimarydatawerecollectedbyinterviewingtheheadoftheresearchanddevelopmentoftheplant.Allrelevantformaldocumentsoftheplantandinformationonitswebsitewerealsoreviewed.Fordatare-latedtothewaterfootprintofenergyandrawmaterials,usedforsteelproduction,therelevantstudieswerereviewed
