City-scape with all its diverse physical, functional and symbolic dimensions must be seriously taken into account in organizing the city visual structure and promoting urban space quality. Although seeing and reading the city as a visual object is not accountable for all wicked urban problems, considering the cityscape as the basic and essential (but not sufficient) tool for reading the city as a text in line with responding to parts of the urban issues and experience of the citizens. The aim of this paper is to emphasize and analyze the Avicenna tomb complex and evaluate the square-scape influence on the Avicenna square-scape quality. To achieve this aim, this paper evaluates the square-scape and square image in micro scale (urban space) from the viewpoint of users. For this, case study research strategy was applied and the data collection was based on observations, interviews and questionnaire done by 181 square users analyzed by SPSS software. The findings of this study indicates that Avicenna tomb complex has played a major role in the vitality and viability of the square due to its desirable urban-scape components including simplicity, visibility and explicitly of the tomb form, its location in one of the main city thoroughfare. In conclusion, this study emphasizes on the influence of tangible and intangible components including form, location and Avicenna familiarity and functional potentials of the tomb complex on the imageablity, legibility and memorability of this square
