This article studies the works of two contemporary painters, namely Aydin Aghdashloo and Farah Osali, with regard to the amount of use of Iranian painting elements. Aydin Aaghdasloo uses painting elementally in the whole image, which has all the characteristics of the traditional paintings, especially the Seljuk school and the Isfahan school. Using the illustrations of Seljuki School by Aghdashloo's works is an indicator. Farhos Osli was also well-known for his familiarity with Iranian painting and Western painting, as well as the experience of drawing and graphic in his mind. Combining these categories with poetry, plays and myths, Farhos Osali was able to use them well and offering the new combination. The purpose of this research is to express the effects of visual elements, visual qualities, themes, content of Iranian painting on the artwork of Persian modernist painter. By comparing the works of these two artists, the researcher is looking for answers to these questions which what is the main features of Iranian painting? How Iranian modern painters have been influenced Persian art in creating their works? Which one the aspects or features of painting is shared by the painters? The research method is descriptive-analytic the required information was obtained using library resources and interviews. Then, in the content analysis method, the main components were extracted in the works of the studied painters. The findings of the research show that the paintings presented by two contemporary painters have equal similarities in terms of modeling of elements and qualities of visual, and this shows the significant impact of these paintings by the two painter; Aydin Aghdashloo and Farah Osouli of Iranian paintings. The most common features used by these two artists are flat colors, pencil, lack of perspective, decorative motifs, rhythms and symbolic elements that have been most used in their works.
