Permanent and temporary zoological specimens such as snakes in natural history museums, as an important resource for natural history information, can play a direct role in improving public education and knowledge of zoology and also presentation quality. Natural History Museum of Bu-Ali Sina University in Hamedan (Iran) was typically ornamented with approximately 73 venomous, semivenomous, non-venomous terrestrial, aquatic snake and also venomous sea snake exhibition specimens belonging to different families (Elapidae, Natricidae, Psammophiidae, Typhlopidae and Viperidae).
