چکیده A parametric simulation approach is performed to investigate the transport properties of charged species including electrons in TiO nanoparticle conduction band, iodide and tri-iodide in electrolyte. We have applied multi trap model (MTM) combined with standard electerochemical approach to establish the continuity equations for mobile charged species. The main outputs of the simulation are the charged species densities and current–voltage curve which provides most important information about the dynamic properties of DSSC. Simulating the J-V curve of the cell is very helpful in reliable estimation of the cell key parameters. The model is easily adaptable to employ more physics. Finally, We consider the applicability of our model to estimate the effect of transparent conducting oxide (TCO) /electrolyte recombination current on J-V curve. Simulated current- voltage characteristics have indicated areduction in open circuit voltage and lowered filling factor (FF) by taking the latter into account
