Abstract Although school climate has emerged as a multifaceted concept in organizational climate research involving a range of variables, methodologies, theories, and models,we relatively know little about it in applied linguistics research. In this article, we argue that school climate has an impact on organizational outcomes, and organizational effectiveness in general, and the education system in particular. Semi-structured interviews indicate that thisimpact takes place through multiple dimensions including leadership, allocation of rewards, interpersonal relationship, and personal values. We also discuss that that the Ministry of Education and the stakeholders involved inthe education system should rethink of school organizational climateconductive to pedagogic improvement and professional development. Weconclude the article with suggestions for further research on school organizational climate.
