چکیده Activated carbon powder is widely used in chemical processes for adsorption of organic materials. In this work the performance of electrochemical method for regeneration of saturated industrial activated carbon powder with Rhodamine B was studied in a batch reactor with graphite bars as anode and cathode. Importance of study are due to high cost of production for activated carbon, reducing the consumption of activated carbon and disposal of wastes in the environment. The main parameters considered in the study are: pH in the range of 3-9, electrical current in the range of 100-300mA, time of regeneration in the range of 30-120min, and temperature in the range of 10-50°C. Maximum yield of regeneration was obtained 65.7% at pH:4.7, time:102min and current:0.25A. By design expert software the influence of mentioned parameters were studied and the optimum conditions of regeneration yield about 66.4% was predicted. The experimental results show that temperature has no significant effect on regeneration yield.
