چکیده A kinetic spectrophotometric method based on the reaction of ammonium cerium (IV) sulfate with amines and amino acids coupled with artificial neural networks (ANNs) has been proposed for simultaneous determination of tyramine and tyrosine and tryptophan. Kinetic methods are often useful for the determination of multicomponent mixtures. Most commonly, the selectivity of these multicomponent determinations arises from the different rates at which components of a mixture react with a common reagent, and it has made a great improvement by using the chemometric procedures [1]. In this study, the spectral kinetic data were processed by ANN, which was trained with the back-propagation of errors learning algorithm. The neural network performs a non-linear iterative fit of data [2]. Differences in the kinetic behavior of the species were exploited by using principal component artificial neural network (PC-ANN), to resolve mixtures. This modeling shows a powerful potential for the considered system without the prior knowledge of the kinetic rate constant and reaction order. The quantitative determination of these compounds in different synthetic mixtures and some real samples has been performed and satisfactory results have been obtained [3].
