In this study, the authors report on the constructing of the Rationality/ Emotionality Test and it’s relation to Decision Making ability. The authors describe the development of the Rationality/Emotionality scale and present data on reliability, content, and structural validity of Rationality/Emotionality Test scores in samples of Iranian employees. After confirming the content validity, the final 20-items questionnaire was given to the 1176 responders accompanied with Decision Making Ability Test. The findings show that components of rationality/ emotionality test have high meaningful correlation with Decision Making Ability test components. The Rationality/ Emotionality test reliability was 0.86 by using Cronbach alpha coefficient and 0.84 by using split-half method. Moreover, the test mean and standard deviation were 67.002 and 12.63. the results show that Rationality/Emotionality Test is a valid and reliable test for measuring the range of the rationality and/or emotionality of people in different situations. Moreover, the test measures four factors named: self-control, affective impression, patience, and neuroticism. Also, Decision making ability in various situations is a good predictor for rational or emotional trait.
