چکیده The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effects of cultivation of some agronomic plant species on soil fungal and bacterial populations, basal and substrate induced respirations (BR and SIR), organic and microbial biomass carbon (OC and MBC) in different sampling sites. The experiment was considered a completely randomized design as factorial in three replicates. The factors were plant species (10 different species and control) and soil sampling site (soil adhering to root mat, rhizosphere soil and nonrhizospheric soil). The thin slicing technique was modified and used to sample rhizosphere soil. Results showed that plant species like Solanum lycopersicum, Lathyrus sativus and Phasaeolous vulgaris mediated more suitable environmental condition for soil bacterial communities compared to fungal communities. The values of qCO2 were higher in soil planted with Zea mays, S. tuberosum, P. vulgaris, Lepidium sativum, and Carthamus tinctorius. The ratios of SIR/MBC in soils adhering to the root mat and rhizosphere soils of Triticum aestivum, Z. mays, S. tuberosum and S. lycopersicum were unexpectedly lower than those in respective nonrhizosphere soils.
