چکیده This investigation is focused on the behavior of nanofluid single drops in a liquid-liquid extraction column while temperature varies. Drops are organic (dispersed) phase of toluene-acetic acid containing 0.0005-0.005 wt% of modified magnetite nanoparticles and continuous phase is deionized water. A temperature range of (20-40) ˚C been used. The results are close to applying different temperature in pervious works, but different from using nanofluids at a constant temperature. An average 159% enhancement in the rate of mass transfer was observed, using 0.002 wt% nanoparticles and applying 40 ˚C temperature. Within the range of 0.0005-0.002 wt% of nanoparticles, we observed a normal increasing in mass transfer rate; however the point is that nanoparticles, more than 0.002 wt% and temperatures more than 30 ˚C, still provide no enhancement. Effect of temperature on the microconvection, caused by Brownian motion, could be the reason of this sort of variations.
