Abstract

The additive manufacturing process (AM) is less expensive, quicker, and more flexible than conventional fabrication techniques, and the most common additive manufacturing technique is FDM. However, several parameters influence the printed sample properties, including mechanical, physical, and thermal properties. In this work, we studied the impact of print speed and raster angle on the mechanical properties of the printed acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) samples. Thus, the printed samples by FDM methods were analysed via tensile test. The results showed a peak in the elastic modulus at 2400 mm/min. Furthermore, changing the raster angle from +45/-45 to 0/90 significantly reduced the elongation at the breaking point.
