Laser modification of the titanium (Ti) surface is a practical method to improve Ti mechanical properties such as hardness, corrosion resistance as well as wear resistance. Herein, we presented a simple, cost-effective, and green process to generate the ceramic structure of titanium nitride (TiN) on the Ti metal surface.
