Title Design and synthesis of novel Zr-based MOF and its application in the synthesis of dihydropyrano[3,2]chromenes compounds
Type Presentation
Keywords Keywords: metal-organic framework, synthesis, dihydropyrano[3,2]chromenes.
Abstract Metal−organic frameworks (MOFs) are an emerging type of porous coordination network with promising catalytic capabilities that fabricate by self-assembly from a diversity of organic ligands and inorganic metal clusters [1]. Chromenes are a group of heterocyclic biological compounds found in many natural products and pharmaceutically useful intermediates [2,3]. Among them, dihydropyrano[3,2-c]chromenes have shown a potential application to treat diseases such as Alzheimer, Parkinson, schizophrenia, myoclonus, Huntington, and Down’s syndrome [4]. In this study, a novel, reusable, and efficient novel Zr- based MOF was designed, synthesized, and characterized. Then, the catalytic performance of the synthesized framework was assessed in the one-pot synthesis of dihydropyrano[3,2]chromenes under mild conditions. The catalyst exhibited a better efficiency than some of the already reported protocols in terms of higher yields and stability, lower reaction times, and simple separation.
