Abstract Mesoporous silica with thick expanded walls, open porosity, and excellent thermal stability is a relatively new structure known as KIT-6. In this study, KIT-6 mesoporous was synthesized by using pluronic surfactant P123 as a modulator in an acidic environment. The synthesized KIT-6 was then modified by 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane (3-CPTMS) and finally, the nickel metal complex was fixed on the modified mesoporous KIT-6. IR, BET, XRD, EDS, SEM, AAS, and TGA methods were employed to examine the as-prepared catalyst. The proposed catalyst was then used for selective sulfides oxidation and preparation of tetrazole derivatives. The synthesized catalyst was found to be efficient and practical as it produced organic compounds in proper TOF and TON amounts, demonstrating the catalyst's practicality and efficiency. © 2023
