Multi-component reactions (MCRs), such as Biginelli, Ugi, and Hantzsch, are widely used for the synthesis of a large variety of heterocyclic compounds. N- Heterocycle compounds such as 1,4- dihydropyridine structures are an important class of organic compounds with unique medicinal and biological properties. Also, scaffolds based on 1,4-dihydropyran moieties have been studied in various pharmaceutical fields such as anti-inflammatory, antitumor, painkillerand bronchodilator [1]. Tetrapyridinoporphyrazines are phthalocyanine derivatives in which the outer benzene ring has been replaced by pyridines. In continuation of our efforts to synthesize of novel catalysts and Multi-component Reactions we wish to report the synthesis of vanadium-oxo tetrapyridinoporphyrazine [VO(TPPA)] as an efficient catalyst for the synthesis of polyhydroquinolines through the condensation reaction of aryl aldehydes, ethyl acetoacetate, dimedone, and ammoniumacetate in EtOH under reflux condition
