Title Use of Metal–Organic Frameworks in the Separation/ Identification Stage of Analysis
Type Book
Keywords Metal–Organic Frameworks, Separation, Identification, Analysis
Abstract Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have been successfully applied as sorbents in different separation methods, such as solid-phase extraction, magnetic solid-phase extraction, and solid-phase microextraction. In addition, MOFs have been utilized as stationary phases for gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, and capillary electrochromatography and as membranes for gas separation, liquid separation, and ion separation. In this chapter, we investigate the potential of MOF-based separation methods for analytical applications. Various MOF-based sample separation approaches are described with a focus on the use of MOFs as the main materials for the separation stage of the analytical procedures.
