Abstract Efficient and recyclable nano vanadium oxo phthalocyanine-based molten salt ([VO(TPPABr)]CBr3), as a vanadium porphyrazine –bassed molten salt catalyst was successfully designed produced and used for synthesis of dihydropyrimidine 2-one derivatives through a one pot three-component reaction between ethyl acetoacetate, urea and aryl aldehyde.
