In the present study, ZnFe2O3 nanoparticles were prepared in a simple and versatile way. Then, a new green catalyst with ascorbic acid immobilization was synthesized on ZnFe2O3 nanoparticles[1], [2]. The activity of this nanostructured compound was investigated for the synthesis of chromeno [2,3-d] pyrimidine-8-amine and quinazolinone derivatives. Catalyst prepared by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT -IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy scattering X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermal gravity analysis (TGA) and size Vibration magnetometer (VSM) sampling was examined and identified[3], [4]. This metal-organic catalyst was recovered from the reaction mixture by means of an external magnetic field and reused for five continuous cycles without significant change in its catalytic activity.
