Abstract
|
In this work, a temperature-responsive hydrogel was synthesized based on a glucose-cross-linked gelatine. Polydopamine nanoparticles were incorporated into the hydrogel as NIR light chromophores. pH-responsive chitosan coated curcumin anticancer drug nanocapsules were also incorporated in the hydrogel to enable dual-stimuli sensitive delivery. The results showed that the drug release was higher at acidic pH values. However, it was not considerable at 37 ᵒC. A 940 nm NIR laser was used to heat-up the hydrogel. The results showed that under laser irradiation the drug release was significant at acidic pH values
