Abstract
|
The controlled drug release is a growing technique that helps to reduce the side effects of drugs, and increases the medical effects of them.1-2 This technique also helps that the effect of the drug to last longer in the body and therefore reduce the dose several times.3-4 In this study, we chlorinated 4- vinyl benzenesulphonic acid sodium salt with PCl5. The drug metformin under reflux conditions and the temperature 35-400C attached to p-styrene sulphonyl chloride chemically. The monomer-drug was polymerized with AIBN as initiator, under nitrogen atmosphere. The monomer and polymer drug characterized by IR technique. After that release the drug investigated with UV technique and spectrum were recorded. 5 The equation of reaction is in scheme (1).
