Title A multifunctional zirconium-based metal-organic framework for one-pot tandem photo-oxidative Passerini three-component reaction of alcohols
Type JournalPaper
Keywords A multifunctional zirconium-based metal-organic framework for one-pot tandem photo-oxidative Passerini three-component reaction of alcohols
Abstract A porous multifunctional zirconium-based metal-organic framework (MOF) was achieved via combined covalent and dative post-synthetic modification (PSM) of the UiO-66-NH2, and characterized by a variety of techniques, including FT-IR, PXRD, N2 isotherms, SEM, TGA, ICP-AES and UV-vis DRS. The MOF (Zr-MOFFePC) is an active, efficient, and reusable catalyst for one-pot tandem photo-oxidative Passerini three-component reaction (OP-3CR) of alcohols. This is a new type of tandem photocatalyst and cooperative catalyst, in developing MOFs as versatile heterogeneous catalysts for diverse tandem oxidative multicomponent reactions. Importantly, this work illustrates the potential applications of MOFs as heterogeneous catalysts, which can shift the processes towards sustainable chemistry.
