Abstract
|
Drug delivery systems based on grafting of drugs to the single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) give an improved treatment with lower toxicity and decreasing the drug dose consumption and be used for the treatment of different diseases (1-2). the grafting of drugs to the SWCNT was attained by the initial conversion of carboxylic groups in SWCNT to corresponding acyl chlorides (3). In vitro drug release studies were performed from the grafted SWCNT–drug is indeed a hydrolysis reaction, which involves breaking of amide bond in a predefined volume of buffer (pH 1.3) at 37 °C. The quantity of released drugs was measured by UV-Vis spectrophotometer
