Abstract

The present study was set out to investigate and compare psychological well being of various ethnicity, education levels, and different ages in Hamadan city. This was a descriptive study that was done by using questionnaire instrument. The subject of this study included jewelers, keep shoppers, teachers, and employees in Hamadan. The sample of the study included 317 that were selected randomly. For data collection purposes, Ryff’s Scale of Psychological Well-being contains 84 items were used. For data analysis, SPPS software version 19 was used. One way ANOVA, an independent sample t-test and multiple regressions stepwise method were used. The results of the study showed that there was difference among psychological well being and people with different education level and various ethnicities. However, no difference was found among people with different ages. Also, ethnicity and education variables had significant effect in the model of predicting psychological well being
