Our finding demonstrated that Parthenolid could reduce anti-apoptotic protein of α-1-antitrypsin. In this study we introduced a biomarker for early detection of breast cancer. Level of α-1-antitrypsin is elevating in this cancer and it decreased after treatment . Level of α-1-antitrypsin is elevating in this cancer and it decreased after treatment with Parthenolide. Subsequently pro-apoptotic properties of PTL were mediate at two levels: through up-regulation of proapoptotic transcription factors such as bax, p21,puma,bid, bim and p53 expression and through down-regulation of α-1-antitrypsin expression
