The fungal organism colletotricum gloeosporioides is the causative agent of anthracnose disease of citrus druits. It is recently introduced as a pothential producer metabolite paclitaxel. here we introduce the optimal condition for growth and sporulation of C. gloeosporioides. we have concidered four fungal culture media., that is potato dextrose agar, carnation leaf agar, potato carrot agar and water agar, based on which sporulation inducer like Watman or Fabriano filter paper could be added, ans evaluted both for vegatative growth and sporulation. Three ltght regimmens, i.e. continuous light were applied. Decreasing light periods decreased the fungal groth. Futhermore, fungal sporulation showed a high dependence on light, temprature and culture media
