Occupational conflict management is of particular importance. Developing skills and ability associated with emotional in tell and conflict management is essential for all managers .In this study we have investigated the relationship between emotional intelligence and managers conflict management strategies .The study population included all public school principals in the city of Karaj, 97 participants (55 women and 42 men) were selected using staged relative sampling method and they were asked to answer the two questionnaires; Sybrya shrink Emotional Intelligence questionnaire and Robbins Conflict Management Strategies questionnaire. The findings showed a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and the solution orientation strategy and no significant relationship was found with conflict avoidance and control. There was no significant difference between managers according to demographic variables (gender, age, education). Among different conflict management strategies studied, according to age, gender and education there was only a difference in that the female managers used solution orientation style more than male managers; also, managers in the range of 31 to 40 years old had a higher style of solution orientation than other ranges and there was no significant difference in other aspects
