In this present work, graphene oxide-TiO2 nanocomposite was synthesized by adding TiO2 nanopowder into graphene oxide suspension and using of refluxing method. The small TiO2 particles successfully anchored onto graphene oxide sheets as spacers to keep the neighboring sheets separate. The prepared nanocomposites were investigated by X-ray diffraction techniques (XRD), showed an obvious anatas to rutile phase transformation compared to TiO2 powder. Also scanning electron microscope (SEM) micrographs were used to study compare the morphology of graphene oxide and graphene oxide-TiO2 nanocomposites.
