ABSTRACT The study aims at elaborating a structural model of marital quality based on secure attachment style with the mediating role of self-compassion, resilience, and dyadic perspective-tak- ing. It was a correlational study with structural equation mod- eling. The population included couples referring to the cultural centers of 22 districts of Tehran, Iran, among whom, 300 were selected using cluster sampling. The results indi- cated that secure attachment style, self-compassion, resilience, and dyadic perspective-taking have a significant direct effect resilience, and dyadic perspective-taking play a mediating role on the quality of marriage (p?0.05), and self-compassion, in the relationship between secure attachment and marital quality.
