Abstract

The charm structure function, (Fcc2(x, Q2)), is calculated in the framework of the kt-factorization for-malism by using the unintegratedparton distribution functions (UPDF), which are generated through the Kimberet al. (KMR) and Martinet al. (MRW) procedures. The Martingroup (MMHT2014) par-ton distribution functions (PDF) is used as the input PDFfor the corresponding UPDF. The resulted Fcc2(x, Q2)is compared with the predicted data and the calculations given by the ZEUSand H1collab-orations, the parton pQCDtheory, i.e. the general-mass variable-flavor-number scheme (GMVFNS), the LOcollinear procedure and the saturation model introduced by Golec-Biernatand W¨usthoff(GBW), respectively. In general, it is shown that the calculated charm structure functions based on the stated above two UPDFschemes are consistent with the experimental data and other theoretical predictions. Also, a short discussion is presented regarding the KMRand MRWUPDFbehaviors.
