Abstract

In this research, a new H-bond catalyst called TMU-52-UR was created by adding phenyl isocyanate to TMU-52 as a Zn-MOF with pillar-layered MOFs. Ligands such as carboxylic acid and pyridine derivatives are used in the structure of TMU-52. Various techniques, such as FT-IR, SEM, XRD, EDS, elemental mapping, N2-adsorption/desorption isotherm and TGA/DTG analysis, were used to confirm the structure of TMU-52-UR. This newly modified catalyst was used to produce macromolecule derivatives under gentle environmental conditions. Additionally, the newly created compounds and TMU-52-UR were tested for their impact on bacteria, demonstrating strong antibacterial properties against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
