Abstract

In this paper, we synthesized hybrid pyridine-triazole derivatives bearing indole or sulfonamide segments via a straightforward multicomponent synthetic strategy. To this end, we devised and synthesized Fe3O4@SiO2@ Pr–NHCO–PDCH as a robust and recyclable magnetically active catalyst containing hydrogen bond donor and acceptor sections. Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), elemental mapping, thermogravimetric analysis/derivative thermogravimetry analysis (TGA/DTG), the vibrating-sample magnetometer (VSM), energydispersive X-ray (EDX), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were performed to characterize the catalyst. Following this, we examined the catalytic effectiveness of Fe3O4@SiO2@ Pr–NHCO–PDCH for the synthesis of the hybrid pyridine systems. The results showed that cooperative vinylogous anomeric-based oxidation provides a reasonable mechanistic route for the synthesis of hybrid pyridine-triazole derivatives.
