Abstract

The development of environmentally firendly catalytic systems is one of the main goals of green chemistry.1-2 To this end, designing of nanomagnetic catalysts due to their high catalytic performance and easy recovering and reusing capability3 provide great help to achieve the goals of green chemistry.4-5 Many types of natural products, such as hormones, vitamins, and even necessary antibiotics for life, have heterocyclic skeletons.6 Pyridine, a heterocyclic compound, is used as a medicine for treatment of diseases such as depression.7-8 In this study, with the support of the anomeric effect, synthesis of new pyridines with sulfonate and sulfonamide sections in the presence of novel nanomagnetic hydrogen bond catalyst is reported (Scheme 1).
