In this paper, a novel metal-organic frameworks with carboxylic acid tags, [Zr-UiO-66]CO2H was synthesized and fully characterized by various techniques. It was used for the synthesis of α-ariloxy alcohols through the ring opening reaction of epoxides in green and mild conditions.
