Abstract

The facile and benign syntheses of [1,2,4]triazolo[5,1-b]quinazolines and [1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-b]pyrimidines were studied using novel nickel tetra-2,3-pyridiniumporphyrazinato trinitromethanide [Ni(TPPAH)][C(NO2)3]4 as an efficient catalyst. The desired products were synthesized under solvent-free conditions using 10 mg of [Ni (TPPAH)][C(NO2)3]4 as a catalyst at 80 ◦C. The morphology and structure of [Ni(TPPAH)][C(NO2)3]4 were studied and characterized using several techniques. The products had good to excellent yields with short reaction times. The presented catalyst was simply recovered and reused. Some of the obtained products (10 items) are reported for the first time.
