Room-temperature molten salts (RTMSs), termed as room-temperature ionic liquids, (RTILs), which are immiscible or only partially miscible with water, have been revealed to be promising as replacements to common organic solvents. Molten salts (MSs) and ionic liquids (ILS) have important potential as electrolyte materials. MSs are an attractive class of liquids due to their incomparable ionic interactions and their varied number of scientific usages.2, 3 On the other hands, design, synthesis and applications of catalytic systems have more demand due to catalysis has played a major role in the preventing pollution in our environment. With this aim, we design, synthesis and characterized the novel nano structure ionic liquids and molten salts namely 1-methylimidazolium tricyanomethanide, 1-methylimidazolium trinitromethanide and 2,6-dimethylpyridinium trinitromethanide respectively and their applications as clean, green, mild and eco-friendly benign catalysts in the synthesis of a good range of organic compounds in the absence of any organic solvent under ambient temperature
