Abstract

The city entrances are the first space that inspires entry into each city and should represent the city's physical, cultural, social and historical features and has an effective role in redefining the city's characteristics from a variety of aspects. In the distant past, the entrance of the cities was very important because it was the first image that formed the city in the minds of the passengers and was in some way a sign of the city and a factor in the identity of the city. Today, the entrance of cities has become to turbulent surroundings with incompatible uses with the urban environment, and its perceptual and environmental quality has fallen sharply since ancient times, and other expectations from the entrance of cities as a legible, consistent, identity and memory, it does not satisfy those needs. The entrance of the city of Hamedan, like other entrance, faces such problems. The industrial heritage of each country is considered as part of the contemporary heritage of the country, which is the result of industrialization in the post-industrial revolution; it is a history of the industrial achievements during this period, along with cultural, social, political and economic conditions. Recognizing this heritage can play an important role in recognizing its historical, cultural and economic values and dimensions, especially its architectural identity in the region. This research is trying to bring about the creation of an appropriate quality space at the entry of cities by recounting and paying attention to this important space and identity that has long been neglected. In addition, it seeks to improve the qualitative and visual quality of the city by introducing and paying attention to the urban indexes at the entry points (industrial architecture heritage) as identity elements in the city's inlets, which represent an important part of contemporary urban history. And lead to the organization of this gateway.
