Abstract

Mites exist in all kinds of soils with high species, abundance and diversity. Therefore, the current study on fauna mites of associated oak tree were performed during 2012-2013. In this survey, sampling from 6 stations was done. Mites extracted by Shaking Methodand Berlese funnel and mounted directly in Hoyer’s medium. In total 14 species from 6 families of Prostigmata were collected and identified. A few species were phytophagous, but there is a great diversity of predatory mites. Most population was related to Raphignatidae. Based on conducted analysis, there is significant difference between mite numbers in Hamedan, Kurdistan and Kermanshah provinces.
