Abstract

The Yeganli gold index is located in 42 km north of Takab. This deposit is related to volcanic hydrothermal activity and is structurally located between the Sanandaj-Sirjan zone and the Uremia-Dokhtar magmatic arc. The study area is consists of three distinct geological units including Iman Khan unit, Chaldagh unit and Zarshurun unit. The Iman Khan unit with schist composition is the oldest unit in the area and is belong to late Neoproterozoic. The gold mineralization in the Yeganli index is in different ways is similar to sedimentary hosted disseminated gold deposits especially to carbonate hosted. Mineralization in the Yeganli occurs as vein-type, disseminated and massive. Based on geochemical evidences and correlation of elements the As-Sb-Au group is related to realgar-orpiment minerals. Furthermore, the Fe-S-As group elements in Yeganli area is related to occurrence of pyrite and arsenopyrite which are distinguished in mineralographic studies.
