چکیده

In order to select the best herbicide(s) among the common specific wheat herbicides to control Centaurea balsamita Lam., a 2×5 factorial pot experiment was conducted in the form of a completely randomized design with three replications and It was implemented almost coincidentally with the growth of this weed in the region in the 2024 crop year. For this purpose, at the end of March 2024, germinated seeds were planted in 210 one-liter pots filled with field soil with a diameter of 12 and a height of 8 cm in the outdoor area of the Agriculture Faculty of Razi University. The researched herbicides include: 2, 4-D + MCPA (67.5% SL), Bromoxynil + MCPA (EC 40%), Dicamba + 2, 4-D (SL 46/4%), bentazone (SL 48%), tribenuron methyl (DF 75%), iodosulfuron + mesosulfuron + mefenpyridiethyl (OD) and sodium iodosulfuron + Mesosulfuron-methyl + diflufenican + mefenepyrdiethyl (OD) which were used in 5 concentrations including 0, 0.125, 0.25, 0.50 and 1 times the recommended dose and in two stages of Centaurea balsamita Lam.’s growth (2 to 4 leaves and 6 to 8 leaves). 30 days after spraying, finally, we obtained the following results by weighing the dry matter of the weed’s shoot, and analyzing the data in the SAS software version 9, we concluded that applying bentazone, Bromoxynil + MCPA and Dicamba + 2, 4-D in the 2-4 leaf growth stage of this weed in the recommended dose of these herbicides had the best effect in this experiment.
