The object of this research was isolation of the two new benzoazepine alkaloids - 3,10,11,12-tetramethoxy-4-oxo-7,8-dihydrobenzo[d]cyclohepta[b]azepine-6(4H)-carbaldehyde (1) and 6-(hydroxymethyl)-3,10,11,12-tetramethoxy-7,8-dihydrobenzo[d]cyclohepta[b]azepine-4(6H)-one) (3) as well as the known colchicine (2).
