Superharmonic response of a multiferroic rectangular plate is studied based on the first order shear deformation theory and Gauss’s laws for electrostatics and magnetostatics. All of the edges are considered to be immovable simply-supported and the plate is subjected to a transverse force with constant amplitude which is harmonic in time. The obtained partial differential equations of motion are transformed to ordinary ones by using Galerkin method and then the method of multiple scales is used to obtain the frequency response equation. Some examples are presented to validate the proposed model and to study the effects of some parameters on the response of the plate.
