Abstract

Abstract-- Generally, the market operator settles and clear transactions of the wholesale electricity market. The main aim is maximizing the social welfare of market participants while satisfying the operational constrains of network. In this way, in addition to the generation cost functions, the benefit functions of costumers should be embedded into the objective function. Recently, applying demand response programs in this sort of problems has increasingly been considered. In this paper, a new hybrid optimization algorithm based on bacterial foraging and differential evolution algorithm is proposed to solve the bidbased environmental-dynamic economic dispatch. The presented hybrid algorithm has an acceptable convergence rate as well as the ability to search in a wide space to find the optimal result. The simulation results show that the performance of the proposed method is better than previous ones in convergence rate, stability and precision.
